Merida Extrema Sadhu Acoustic Guitar w/ Cutaway inc Gig Bag
There are some guitars, for which writing a review or trying to describe the overall playability experience is simply an understatement, if not almost useless at times.
This is the case of the Merida Extrema Sadhu, from the Eternal series.
There are no words that can express the mix of emotions that one feels in front of an instrument which, by virtue of an aesthetic at the limit of technical and constructive possibilities, makes one think more of a real sculpture than a simple guitar.
The hollow headstock, embellished with the gold color of the Merida Knob custom tuners, and the translucent light blue on the back that alternates with the splendid veins of Indian rosewood, are only the strengths of a model that would make even the most expert luthier pale.
The sound is spectacular and precise thanks to the solid body, spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides; the keyboard is thin, fast and accurate; the inlay on the rosette is simply impressive, almost obsessive for the difficulty and precision of assembly.
The playing experience is simply exceptional, thanks to the presence of flute sound ports that amplify the sound for the guitarist and allow better control of the playing, and thanks to the double bevel, one on the top to support the arm and one on the back to facilitate the approach to the instrument, which raise the comfort to levels not common for a Grand Concert body.
As already said, words are not enough, this is an instrument that must be played to be truly appreciated.
